This is one recreational opus of an etching, originally made by Georges Braque in black and white. I saw it in Tehran Museum of Modern Art. Those original artworks on the walls were so influential and irresistible. I found a paper and started with one two pens I have chance-fully brought'em with me. After that I interested to use pen, specially for coloring.
She is my mum sleeping. I like drawing her in every position. Her hair and her style inspire me, always make me draw. Also, woodcut is one of my favorites. In this, I'm not sure about the big black part... keep it or cut it! Anyhow I love this composition and it's heaviness in contrast with the lines.
"She would sit there, without moving, until her eye drooped. My father, God bless his soul, would scold the pages say, “You've blinded my hound!” But they never took any notice…"
I don't remember the name of the book or it's author. there was some nice sketch from a dog beside these phrases. Her head is dog's head for sure.
